Would you like to feel more peaceful, energised and connected?

Come & join our chanting circle & meet other like-minded beings.

All welcome - regardless of faith or experience.

Chanting circle is a wonderful opportunity to come together and enjoy the power of mantra, chanting & singing.

Together we chant - for peace & love, for ourselves, each other & the world.

Mantra chanting is a beautiful ancient practice that has existed as far back as 1700 - 1200 BCE.

Mantra contains the root - man, meaning "to think" and the suffix "tra", which signals instrumentality or in tantric texts "to save". Making mantras salvific.

Mantras have their origin from the primordial sound "AUM", which is the sound of creation.

Neuroscientists, equipped with advanced brain-imaging tools, are confirming some of the health benefits of this ancient practice, such as its ability to help clear your mind and calm your nervous system.

Other benefits include:

◦ Increased self-awareness

◦ Reduced stress & anxiety

◦ A greater sense of calm

◦ Increased compassion

◦ A more positive outlook

◦ Better cognitive functions

◦ Overcome emotional difficulties

◦ Promotes a feeling of connection

What to expect: Although each session will vary we will practice one or two mantras mainly in the Sanskrit language, practiced in the call and response style. We will explore the translation of the chant and its benefits. If there's time, we may close the session with a circle song. We are hosting these events on a monthly basis (every last Sunday of the month) - please click on 'Book A Spot' to see further dates.

What to bring: Water, shamanic drum or any other percussion instruments (e.g, shaker, tambourine, drum etc), notepad (optional), cushions will be provided at the venue but feel free to bring any other comforts you may like.

About Dean
Dean is an independent researcher and coach at I&I Insight and author of sci fi novel Liberty Farm. Dean has been interested in Buddhism and chanting for a number of years and has enjoyed a number of chanting sessions organised by others. As someone who is always thinking and finds regular meditation difficult, Dean has found chanting to be a powerful way to ‘clear the mind’ and tap into a spiritual state through repetitive sound. Dean is keen to learn and share more about mantras through these regular chanting circles.
